About 

Karina Valle, MSW, LCSW-S

Karina Valle, MSW, LCSW-S, with nearly twenty years of experience in the field of mental health services, has worked with diverse populations and with individuals of all ages. She has worked in various settings, such as community health clinics, schools, hospitals, and youth programs. She has delivered a wide range of mental health services to patients in private practice since 2012. In addition, her background in teaching special education, program management, administration, and clinical supervision has equipped her for her specialization in treating single and complex trauma via a variety of therapeutic techniques.

Karina Valle has been trained in various therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, Sand Tray, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She has extensive experience treating children, adolescents, and adults with moderate to severe mental health conditions, many of whom are survivors of rape, sexual abuse, kidnapping, domestic violence, motor vehicle accidents, and physical assault. She has clinical experience with treating depressive disorders, anxiety, grief and loss, adjustment disorders, bipolar disorders, and family issues. Her clinical experience has solidified her uniquely focused approach to "meeting the client where they are” and working together to enhance the client’s social functioning, self-reliance, and overall well-being.

She also specializes in conducting an array of clinical immigration evaluations, with the explicit goal of accurately representing immigrants and their families. She is a graduate of the Immigration Evaluation Institute. Additionally, she focuses on assessing pre-bariatric individuals to better prepare them for their treatment and increase their chances of success in meeting their weight-loss goals.

Karina Valle completed her master’s in clinical social work from California State University of Bakersfield in 2005. She also completed her undergraduate studies in Education and Social Work from Lubbock Christian University. She is certified as an Advanced Forensic Social Worker (AFSW) and has been a member of the NASW South Plains Branch Steering Committee since 2021.

She is bilingual in English-Spanish and bicultural. She is licensed in Texas, California, and Arizona.
